During the month of June, your Mission Donations will help support Chautauqua County’s Friendly Kitchen in Dunkirk. Attendance at the Friendly Kitchen keeps increasing so they are now serving over 4,000 meals a month. (Approximately 48,000 meals per year) They need our help to meet this need! We are collecting non perishable food items each week with the help of our youth. We are now starting our summer Peanut Butter and Jelly Challenge to help children that are home for the summer and are hungry! (Last week 10 jars of peanut butter and 6 jars of jelly were collected so we are off to a great start!) Let’s see if we can beat last year’s record of over 100 jars of each.) Other items such as Mac and Cheese, tuna fish, canned meats, pasta and sauce are other easy to prepare items that are needed. We are also collecting monetary donations for The Friendly Kitchen to help them purchase the foods they serve to individuals and families that come for meals. Please use the designated Missions envelopes in the pews or mark Missions on your check so your donation goes to The Friendly Kitchen this month.
